Tonight, I found myself at CVS, getting stuff I actually need right now for a change (OK, I grabbed a couple of Colgate toothpastes for .50 each while I was there... I'll post how in a second). Boring stuff- poster board and paper for work, and a card- no super bargains, no free stuff. My total came to $11.something. I pulled out my CVS baggie (I keep my CVS card, that week's coupons, and extra bucks in a ziploc baggie so I don't lose stuff... I do this for every drug and grocery store I shop at) to get my coupons and extra bucks. That was when I realized I had forgotten my wallet at home- as in I HAD NO REAL MONEY.
I felt a brief moment of panic, but got down to business. Gave the teenage cashier my coupons. Then my extra bucks. My remaining balance was .81. I did not even have any pocket change on me. How embarrassing.
Suddenly, I remembered the random giftcard I had scored a few weeks back. I said a mini prayer that it had at least .81 left on it.
PHEW. It had just over a buck.
I had made it in and out of CVS without spending any money- it was legal- and it was NOT on purpose. Dang.
I wish the whole world accepted extra bucks.
Oh- if you want to get your kid Colgate Sponge Bob toothpaste for .50, do this:
They are on sale buy one get one free this week, regular price, $2.99.
So that's 2 for 2.99
Use 2 $1 off Colgate coupons (they always seem to be in the newspaper).
So that's 2 for .99- not bad!
(Regular Price would be 2 for 5.98!!)

Love your blog! It's going in my favorites.
BTW, it's ADORABLE how your sister idolizes you! You are both very lucky!
Do you get multiple newspapers to get the extra coupons? or just the Globe?
Hey Katy! Wandered over from your Facebook post. LOVE the idea of a "CVS baggie." I'm embarassed to say I've forgotten my Extra Bucks at home and let them expire numerous times. It's honestly like tossing $2 in the trash. Love the blog... adding you to my Links list if that's ok!
