So my pal Bargain Becky is a big fan of Cashbaq. Skeptical about anything that promises free money, I had seen her mention it in her posts about a dozen times before I finally made my way over to the site to check it out myself. It's actually not sketchy, and is really very cool. If you do any kind of online shopping, it could be for you.
Here's how it works:
1. When you are going to make an online purchase, first go to the Cashbaq site. See if they have a partnership with your store (I can't believe how many stores they work with- even random, kind of obscure ones!).
2. Access your store through the Cashbaq website. Sometimes they even have special coupons.
3. Shop.
4. You automatically get a percentage of your purchase or predetermined dollar amount back in your account.
5. After earning a certain amount (help me out, Becky- $50?), they either send you a check, or pay your PayPal account.
Now I thought it would take FOREVER to get to $50- not at all. I've only been using the site for 6 or 7 weeks and I'm at around $18 in rebates. So much counts- those free flip flops a few weeks ago, the bench I bought at Target, you'll be surprised!
Bottom line, you have nothing to lose, and they even give you $5 just for starting out.
Oh, and want to be may favorite reader? Email me (happilyaverage@gmail.com), I'll send you a referral code, and I get a little bonus too. Rad!
So don't delay! Go get some free money!

Woohoo! Yeah, I joined in December and I'm up to $55. My "first" deposit of $34 will be thrown in my PayPal account on May 20th. It's cool because it takes the pre-discount code price. Like those Simple Shoes you mentioned - Even though I only paid $14.90, It gave me 7% on $29.80 ($2.09) - So 2 pair of Simple flip flops for $12.81. It just takes a while for purchases to be creditted to you.
I know Mr. Rebates is another popular one. I like Cashbaq though!
This is a valuable post! Only if i had known about this a couple of weeks back. We bought a new laptop from dell and it is one of the stores. damn!
Their site looks a LOT like Ebates.com. Does anyone know if they are related?
ugh. We just bought TWO laptops last week!!!! no clue...
I haven't seen you mention this on your post, but Upromise has a similar set up, but the cash you earn goes into a college savings fund for your kids. Your friends and family can also sign up and their purchases count toward the 529 too... another great option!
You didn't post about the free KFC meal coupon today. How could you overlook the FREE KFC MEAL COUPON?!?!?
I'm so done with this blog.
(call me!)
Have you heard about the site heyitsfree.net? I've gotten several great deals from there since I found it last week. I just scored 4 free dinners 2 days ago!
