Help! My printer stinks!

You guys- I'm struggling here. There are SO MANY great printable coupons out there now, but my printer? Well, it's NOT a team player. I have an HP C3100 Photosmart. It came free with our MacBook a few years back. Let me tell ya, This is a case of "you get what you pay for."

This printer sucks through it's tiny ink cartridges so fast. I never have enough ink to even print a few Froot Loops coupons. It's bumming me out.

So do you have a printer you love? I need one that is efficient on ink and not too huge. I don't care if it prints photos. A copy feature would be nice.

Any suggestions? This pig printer is costing me!

Hi Katy!
Your blog is great!
I had the same problem and ditched my Photosmart for a laser printer that is cheaper to run and FAST!
Let me know if you want my old inkjets,
Ilene

We have the Kodak 4 in 1 on our "wish list." I can't vouch for the quality, since we haven't used it, but the ink cartridges are inexpensive, $10 for black and $15 for color. We also have Kodak camera, so the compatability would be nice.

So, where are all the great coupons?

I recommend a laser printer, HP makes some that are small and good for home use. They can be found for under $150, check New Egg.com,I've had mine for close to 2 years and I haven't had to replace the toner once yet.

We have a HP 5600 series printer that we bought a few years ago. It is a 3-in-1 printer (copier, scanner, fax + printer) and it is a work horse! We use regular ink and go through a black and color cartridge once every 5-6 months if we aren't doing a ton of printing. Like I haven't changed my color ink cartridge since September! It is low now, but keeps on printing!

I have a brother 4-in-1, it even has a cordless phone and answering machine built in. It's small, compact, and the cartridges are cheap. Staples even gives you $3 on your rewards card for every empty you bring back in.

Passwird.com usually has some good deals on printers. I have some sort of Samsung one that I got through that site and I really like :)
