So when it comes to drugstores, where do your loyalties lie?
Where do you score your best deals? Who has the best sales? What rewards program do you like best?
Spill it in the comments section- why are you faithful to your drugstore of choice?

We don't have Walgreens, so pretty much it's CVS or Rite-Aid. RA is often out of the things I have rebates for, there aren't a lot of great deals, and it's farther away. So CVS is my place. It's got better deals, it's next door to my gym, and in the same plaza as Safeway.
I don't really have a favorite drug store because the only option that I have is Walgreens and I must say that I have not been too highly impressed with them.
Yea, they have some pretty decent sales and I have scored some pretty good deals there. But overall I feel like I have had more problems with them than successes. Problems like being overcharged, associates who don't know what they are doing, and even more frustrating are the managers/supervisors who don't know what they are doing!
So I have kind of opted to stick with my local grocery stores and Wal-Mart and Target for deals, unless I see something at Walgreens that is just not to be missed!
I think CVS has the easiest system. I do like Walgreen's option of getting an extra 10% when you put the rebates on a gift card. It can be a bit overwhelming though with the coupons, register rewards and rebates. Rite Aids rebates are easy to use but I prefer to just get my ECBs at CVS instead of waiting. That said I go to all three stores and am lucky enough to have at least one of each very close to me.
The only choice that I have is Walgreens...but they make me so angry everytime I shop there. They seriously have no idea what the rules are regarding coupons, rebates, and easy saver coupons from one day to the next. I've had to email the Walgreens website several times to have them counsel our local store on their policies. So, I shop there, begrudgingly.
I'm so glad to hear all your problems with Walgreens! (Wait, that sounded wrong...Oh, well, you know what I mean.) I've been bugging Katy about them via email, because they do these weird things with their coupons, and I'm struggling to deal with them. My other drugstore is Rite Aid, and I just don't find good deals there, even with their rebates. So I'm trying to make Walgreens work...and wishing there was a CVS nearer to my house or work.
Thanks for posting this Katy! So glad to read all the comments. Walgreens seems to have great deals, but I can't figure out from one register to the next how to make them happen and constantly leave frustrated. Glad to know I'm not alone. CVS is by far my drug(store) of choice.
Jennifer and Family -- do you actually KNOW what the rules are regarding coupons, rebates and rewards?? Can you educate the rest of us or post the URL that details it?
CVS. I feel ikky in Walgreens and I don't have the slightest idea where a Rite Aid is. I had a pee pee accident in Walgreen when I was a little girl - I'll blame this for my fear of going there (well, unless free photos are involved).
The Walgreen's closest to my house is the skeeviest place in the world. I once sat waiting for a Rx with my daughter and listened to two guys compare their recent jail experiences. I much, much prefer to go to CVS! The two CVSs in my town are generally clean, well-stocked, and staffed with helpful people.
My loyalties lie with Walgreens only because they are 1/4 mile away from me and I'm way too lazy to shop at CVS. Oh, and CVS doesn't print the price in their circulars - only the discount - and I wanna know how much is leaving my wallet.
I prefer CVS because they are extremely nice, push coupons through, and are willing to help when I go there. I had too much trouble trying to do the diaper deal at Walgreens that I won't be trying that again.
I chose CVS because its the only place I go... I find their system very simple and I've gotten great deals there. That said, I don't go even weekly - only when I can get the really sweet deals!
Even though RA doesn't have many good specials, I prefer to shop there. I find the lack of privacy and customer service at the CVS pharmacy makes me dislike giving that chain *any* of my hard earned cash.
We don't have CVS here, and I hate shopping at Rite-Aid. I score pretty good deals at Walgreens on occasion. If I worked harder at it, I could do better.

No Rite-Aids here.
We only got CVS last year so I'm still getting used to them. Since I always had walgreens they feel more comfortable but I like CVS's rewards.

I'm a doof because I go to Walgreens just because I don't like CVS's carpet. What can I say?
