My buddy Bargain Becky gave a VERY thorough description on how to work the "On your next purchase" deals at Shaw's Supermarket... it's good. It's detailed. Check it out.
I'll give a quickie version of how to score big at Shaw's with a small amount of effort.
This week, Shaw's is running a deal where you buy 10 items from a select list and get a $10 coupon for your next purchase. Progresso soup is included, AND it's on sale for $1.33 a can this week.
So that means spend $13.30, get $10 back, right? WRONG.
Progresso has some awesome printable coupons out right now(Thanks Shannon!!!). They are for $1 off 2 cans and $2 off 4 cans. You will be able to print 2 of each.
Soooooo....
-Buy 10 cans of soup.
-They will ring up to $13.30.
-Use three coupons- two $2 off 4 cans, and one $1 off 2 cans.
-So, now your total is now $8.30.
-You'll score a $10 off your next purchase coupon (it's good for anything at Shaw's).
-You just made $1.70 for buying 10 cans of soup.
Rock on!
Help me out friends from across the country... what grocery stores do you think are best for scoring rad deals?

So, is the food pantry going to be getting some yummy soup from you? :)
That's the plan!
Thanks for the tip. I stopped by Shaw's on my way home from work and got the $10 coupon!
I'm so glad, Jedimom! Check their circular each week- they do stuff like this all the time.
Shaw's is great! For the "newbies" - when the catalinas are "Spend $25, get $10 Of Your Next Order" - usually the $25 is good for PRE-SALE prices! This is probably confusing but maybe I'll write up some blurb to explain it when the next catalina comes along!
