What would Jack Bauer do with

1/3 of a bag of frozen shrimp and a box of couscous?

I still have plenty of chicken and ground turkey, but I think Rob might leave if he has to eat something from the bird family again tonight. I have an idea... I'll post it later if it's any good.

Oh, and I have a bunch of fresh beets. What do I do with fresh beets? They won't be fresh in another day.

We're certainly not starving here, but I can't WAIT to go grocery shopping next week.

For the fresh beets, I recommend chocolate beet cake. Sounds disgusting, but it makes beets taste like chocolate instead of beets...and I suppose the cake is supposed to be healthier or something :). I hate beets, and when I get them in my CSA box, it's all I make!

Roasted beets are good. Wrap in foil and roast them in the oven. I am sure you don't have blue cheese on hand, but for future months, it pairs well with beets!

Thanks for the ideas girls! Celeste- I love your blog! Can I make these chips in the oven? I tried the microwave and ignited a tiny fire... oops.
