Anyhow-
Today, a friend pointed out the insane regional price differences of some pretty basic groceries.
So I'm curious...
How much is a gallon of milk where you live? Like for NORMAL people (not crazy bargain hunters like us)?
I know there are even differences based on what kind of milk and where you shop. Around here (just outside of Boston), I've seen milk as cheap as $2.10ish at BJs, but it seems to be in the $3.50ish range at most grocery stores (regular price).
So indulge me- where are you, and what did your last (regular priced) gallon of milk cost?

Milk in Nashua, NH is $1.99 a gallon at BJ's. Of course I have a fridge full from the Shaw's General Mills Cat deal a couple of weeks ago.
Milk in Las Vegas is $1.68 at Smith's...a lot cheaper than what it has been the past couple of months!
Usually 1.88 to 2.00. In TX! But I LOVE that $1 off coupon I got for "Bordens" milk in our Sunday paper a few weeks back. Coupons for milk is soooo rare!
$1.60ish is what I have been spending lately in Utah.
Depends on where you go. Today I was at Piggly Wiggly and their brand milk was 2.69 a gallon. (Golden Gurney was 2.79) The half gallons were on sale though for a buck a piece so I bought 4 half gallons.
Costco is usually 1.99-2.15 a gallon though and I almost always buy milk there. I was in a rush today and ran out so I had to stop at the closest place.
I'm in South Eastern Wisconsin.
At a reg. grocery store in Maine the average is like 3.80
Costco was $1.89 (or $1.99... now I'm not sure) for a gallon of skim the other day. Woo woo! As you know, I'm right outside Boston :-)
$2.09 at Wegmans, $3.49 at Giant in Northern Virginia.
Reminds me that Wegmans is worth driving the extra 2 miles for!
7 bucks a gallon but we sport the rice milk, 3 bucks sound like a steal to me!
I can usually find a gallon of milk for $1.49 to $1.79 in Northwest Indiana. Thanks to co-worker's advice, I now freeze a couple gallons at a time.
2.99 to 3.29 at the grocery store. on sale for 3.09 at cvs this week. Northern Virginia, just outside DC.
The two cheapest prices are $1.50 and $1.67 each (Salt Lake City, UT).
Plus in UT and ID we have a 75 cent coupon for any gallon of milk available right now, so that is for CHEAP milk!
In southern Utah at regular grocery store it can be as low as $1.69. But at Costco you can get it for around 1.60 to 1.80. You have to buy a two pack. But it taste great and it is hormone free!
We do 1% - it was $2.12 at BJ's just yesterday. Shaw's brand 1% is $3.69 a gallon. I think Garelick Farms (which is what BJ's sells) at Shaw's is down to $3.99 for a gallon. Kind of crazy that it's half the price at BJ's than Shaw's. I live about 3 miles from you. Tedeschi's seem to be sporting $2.59 for a gallon of 1% Garelick Farms.
I'm in Northern VA and it was $3.49 a gallon last night - sale if you bought 2 gallons made it $3. Organic is usually $5.49 or so.
In Michigan at Meijer milk is $1.98.
$2.30 for 1% at Cumberland Farms, but my peanut is still on whole milk (per dr.) and that is $2.99 at Target or $3.50 at Cumberland Farms or Stop & Shop in CT. We go through a gallon in about 2 days. It is expensive!!
$1.88 at WinCo in ID, but over $2.50 at Target.
Milk here is usually about $3.50 a gallon for regular milk. Of course, the organic milk I prefer, is $4.50 for a half gallon. Makes me want to invest in a cow!
It cost about $3.98 per gallon in NewportBeach, Cali. I have seen it as high as $5.00 per gallon. It is expenssive considering Owen drinks about 4 galons a week.
Publix in West Palm Beach, FL has their brand at an everyday price of $2.39.
Under $2 in AZ....I looked this morning in my flyer for you and it escaped my head before I was able to tell you!
Milk in Ludlow (Western MA) is $2.39 a gallon at the Pride gas station near my house...but $3.99 at the Big Y!
Milk in Northern Michigan is $1.98/gallon
Central Indiana 1.99 - 2.59 depending on the store.
In north central MA, milk is 2.30ish at Market Basket, but around 3.50 at Stop & Shop.
