So you want pictures, huh?

OK- I've gotten some email asking for pictures of stuff... like my coupon basket, my basement "stash," and my fridge (um, dang!).

Anyhow, I had been avoiding some of this because let's be honest, my basement is old and dark, my fridge could use a sponge, and my coupon basket is not always neat and tidy.

But then I saw Oprah on Monday- did anyone else see it? Oh my goodness- that lady who had enough food in her basement to feed a flippin' elementary school for a week? I am NOT LIKE HER. She is extreme. I have a lot of the same stuff (she clearly uses coupons), but much, much, MUCH less. Did anyone else say "Hallelujah! when she donated a bunch to a food pantry? I did. Four or five times.

So I kind of feel the need to show you guys that it's possible to have a reasonable stockpile of food and supplies- without going over the top like that lady. Oh, and my friend Bargain Becky showed her kitchen... that gave me courage.

So what topics do you want picture lessons on? Let me know. On topic please... obviously...

Don't know if I need a pic of it but I've been curious what brands of laundry detergent work for your family and budget? Also, what do you do for make-up/cosmetics. I am looking to trim on that area. Currently use Clinique. Your suggestions for a good supermarket alternative? I would, though, like to see your basement stash!

I would love to see how you organize your coupons.

Man.. I wish that I didn't miss that Oprah. Hope they rerun it soon.
I would have never thought your pantry/basement looked like that. lol
I think there has to be some balance and an understanding of not purchasing things just because they are free or cheap BUT only purchasing them if you actually need them and use them.
I'll show you my pantry if you want. haha
I'd love to see your coupon holder, though, cause I think you switched yours over before I started trying to and mine still isn't done.
